After all that has happen to Christchurch, we thought why not have an anniversary event to raise money & awareness of what's going on with Christchurch....
As you maybe aware at 12:51pm on Tuesday 22nd Feburary 2011 a 6.3 Magnitude Earthquake hit Christchurch and the Canterbury Region of the south island of New Zealand. The earthquake was centred 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) west of the town of Lyttelton, and 10 kilometres south-east of the centre of Christchurch. It followed nearly six months after the magnitude 7.1 Canterbury earthquake of 4 September 2010, which caused significant damage to Christchurch and the central Canterbury region, but no direct fatalities.
It has been estimated that the total cost of rebuilding to insurers to be around NZ$20–30 billion, making it by far New Zealand's costliest natural disaster, and the third-costliest earthquake (nominally) worldwide.
So on Saturday 25th Feburary we will be hold a CHCH Earthquake Appeal Anniversary Event to raise money and awareness for CHCH, so put this date in your diary and let your friends, family and Mates know all about it...
